- College Station Stephen C. Beachy Central Park College Station's main park, and the better of the two local kid-fishing ponds. A TPWD Neighborhood Fishin' site: the smaller pond is stocked with channel catfish roughly every two to four weeks from late April into early November, except August. Children 16 and under fish free; adults need a Texas freshwater licence. Pole-and-line only, two poles per person, five fish a day. - Bryan Aggieland Humane Society Brazos County's animal shelter offers Inspiring Tails Tours: a one-hour, behind-the-scenes look at the care pets receive when they arrive, with stories about animals and the programs that rescued them. Cheese The STEAM-tastic Adventure field trip pairs a short science lesson for each grade (K–1 pushes and pulls, 2–3 potential and kinetic energy, 4–5 game strategy and problem solving) with 90 minutes of unlimited games, two slices of pizza and a drink per student, and a take-home bag.
